October’s S4S/B4B field trip was to the Afghanistan National Archives. The Archives were established in 1890 and are now located in a palace built at the end of the 19th century by Afghan Emir Abdur Rahman Khan. There are over 15,000 documents including newspapers, photographs, old currency, various Quran books from the Durrani period, and many important documents. Our S4S and B4B participants enjoyed their guided tour and seeing important Afghan history first hand.
